I am co-authoring a second edition of 'Scottish Politics' with Neil McGarvey. It will appear in 2013. It includes a very revised chapter which has a discussion of the Scottish Parliament and new forms of participative and deliberative democracy. The latter used to command its own chapter, but so little has happened (on things like civic forums and petitions) that there is very little to write about.
